Five Things You Need to Know Today: Dec. 15

1. Music at the Museum Students from the New England Conservatory will perform today at the Jackson Homestead and Museum. The free concert will include classical guitar music from the 16th-21st centuries. The performance starts at 3:30 p.m.

2. Adams Street Shul Centennial Celebration. The historic Adams Street Synagogue will celebrate its 100th birthday today with an event starting at 7 p.m. Historian Ellen Smith and CJP President Barry Shrage will be among the evening's speakers. There will also be live music, wine and desserts. Donations are welcome. 

3. Carroll Center Open House. The Carroll Center for the Blind will be open today for special holiday shopping hours. Patrons can enter a raffle, enjoy refreshments and choose a unique gift to help their loved one see better. The open house will run from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.

5. Off-leash parks closed. According to the city's website, the off-leash dog parks at Claflin Playground and Braceland Park are officially closed for the season today. They will reopen on March 15.
