Former Patriots Great Will Speak to Newton Veterans

Former Patriots quarterback Steve Grogan will appear at the Veteran's Drop in Center in February.

Former New England Patriots great Steve Grogan will speak at the Newton Veteran's Drop in Center on Tuesday Feb. 4.

Grogan played for the Pats from 1975 to 1990, and led the team to its first playoff berth in 13 years in 1976, and in 1978 helped the team win a division title and the team's first home playoff game. He has the third most passing yards in franchise history and his 16 years on the team is the most of any player.

The drop in center, located at American Legion Post 440 (295 California St. in Nonantum) is designed to be a one stop shop for Veteran’s in need of services available to them in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. It will be open from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Service providers in attendance will include educational, vocational, psychological, financial and family resource assistance.

Veterans of all ages and their families are invited to attend the drop-in center, which is open the first Tuesday of each month.
