Free Flu Shots in Newton Next Week

Both the city of Newton and the Newton-Needham Chamber of Commerce will be offering free flu shots on Tuesday, Dec. 18.

Did you get your flu shot yet?

The Newton Dept. of Health and Human Services will be offering a free flu clinic at the Newton Free Library on Tuesday, Dec. 18. The clinic will run from 4:15 p.m. - 6 p.m. 

The clinic is open to anyone age 6 months and older, regardless of residency or insurance status. Both nasal spray vaccines and injections will be available, according to the city's website.

The community flu clinic form can be downloaded in advance from the Health & Human Service website. Screening forms, which are required for the nasal spray, are also available for download. 

People attending the clinic should bring insurance cards, if they have one.

In addition to the city's flu clinic, the Newton-Needham Chamber of Commerce is partnering with Newton-Wellesley Hospital to hold a free flu clinic on Tuesday, Dec. 18 at the Chamber of Commerce offices on Needham Street.

The clinic will be open 10 a.m. - 1 p.m. and is open to all. No appointment is needed.
