How Good was the Snow Removal in Newton During Recent Snow Storms?

The two recent storms tested snow plowers in the city.

We've had two snow storms in quick succession, and the question is how good a job has the city done plowing the streets of Newton?

Granted, the storms were not your run of the mill few inches of fluffy snow. The first, Saturday afternoon into Sunday morning, dumped a few inches of snow and then covered it with a coat of rain that quickly froze. On Tuesday, the heart of the storm hit during the evening rush hour.

When there are 4 or more inches of snow the city plows selected sidewalks used by students to get to school, or in areas with heavy pedestrian traffic (check out the routes here). On other sidewalks, clearing snow is the responsibility of property owners. They should be cleared by 30 hours after the end of the storm, or owners may face a $100 fine. The city's sidewalk snow rules can be seen here.

Now that the second storm has cleared the area, how is your street? Was your commute route normal today or still impacted by snow on the road (or side of the road)?
