The city of Newton held its annual Martin Luther King Jr. community gathering on Monday, Jan. 21, 2013. 

The event was held at Temple Beth Avodah and included remarks from Mayor Setti Warren and Superintendent David Fleishman as well as readings from interfaith clergy members from across the city. Newotn Public School students also had a chance to stand up and read essays inspired by the life and legacy of Dr. King.
