Winners of the competition advance to the Regional Championships at Harvard Stadium.

On Monday, 500 local young athletes competed in the Boston Cannons Skills Competition at Auburndale Cove in Newton. The Cannons are holding these competitions in towns throughout the state this month.

Kids aged 7 to 14 competed in three specific lacrosse skills for a chance to advance to the Regional Championships on August 9 at Harvard Stadium, prior to the Cannons home game. The 1st place winners in Newton were Adam Figler in the 9-10 year old division, Chris Perri in the 11-12 year old division, and Colin Buckton in the 13-14 year old division.

The competition is sponsored by CareWell Urgent Care, which has an ongoing partnership with the Cannons.
