20 Newton Students Will Perform in BYSO’s Final Concert of the Season

20 young musicians from Newton will perform in the Boston Youth Symphony Orchestra's this Sunday alongside students from around the state.

On Sunday, June 15th, 20 young musicians from Newton will perform at the Boston Youth Symphony Orchestra’s final concert of their 56th season. The concert will take place at Sanders Theatre at Harvard University at 3pm.


These passionate musicians have spent hours rehearsing together every Sunday for over 9 months and have performed at concerts throughout the year. BYSO’s premier orchestra, Boston Youth Symphony (BYS), will perform Wagner’s Overture to Tannhauser and Strauss’ Death and Transfiguration. BYSO’s Repertory Orchestra (REP) will perform Shostakovich’s Symphony No. 5 under conductor Mark Miller.
