Woman's Club Annual Holiday Craft Fair

The GFWC Woman’s Club of Newton Highlands’ will hold  its   9th ANNUAL HOLIDAY CRAFT FAIR     at the    Hyde Community Center, 90 Lincoln Street in Newton Highlands on Saturday, Nov. 19 from 9am to 4pm. 

Shoppers will find felted hats and mittens as well as fine shell creations, appliqued sweatshirts, origami pins and many seasonal items made by club members.  Artist and club member Hiroko Lee will also show examples of her work.

Additional gift items created by  Gay Grace Teas (tea and tea accessories),  Auntie Claire’s Crafts (knitted and crocheted items), Panache Creations (beaded jewelry, ceramic plaques), Binding Thread (items made of recycled fabrics), Mary’s Beaded Creations, (accessories such as cheese knives, spreaders and bottle openers),  Flowers Forever by Rose as well as Fine Kenyan Crafts and Accessories will be on display.

Paintings by artist, Susan J. Champeny, will be available as well as Ethan Kurland’s silk scarves, shawls and décor made and dyed by hand.  Fern Weisman’s textile based crafts such as wall hangings and pillows and Aunty Claire’s Crafts, including hand knit baby socks and hats, cotton reversible aprons and fingerless gloves will be on sale.  Shoppers will also find Arbonne International (Swiss)  herbal and botanically based health and wellness products. 

Shirley Goldstein’s enamel jewelry and water color cards, Elizabeth Elkin’s wrapped vases  and Cheryl Legassey’s hand painted decorations, 100% wool hooked rugs and Christmas ornaments will be available.  Binding Threads’, wool, linen and other materials recycled to make totes, pinafores and baby things; Kate Dolan’s hand-made doll clothes, Westwind Designs’ useful items from fabric and paper such as notecards and gift tags;  Nancy’s Beaded Designsbased on sterling silver items and finally, craft creations by junior and senior high school students ……will all be on display at the Hyde Community Center (Gym)  Saturday Nov. 19.

As always this  9th Annual Holiday Craft Fair includes a bake sale  and a silent auction.       

All proceeds  support the Woman’s Club of Newton Highlands’  scholarship program and the club’s other charitable work.
