Find Out About the History of Superman, Learn How to Control Invasive Plants

Two events to check out in Newton this evening.

The "Man of Steel" hit the theaters on Friday, but tonight you can find more about the original super hero when the author of a Superman book comes to Newtonville Books.

Prize winning New York Times journalist Larry Tye will be at the store in Newton Centre to talk about his book, "Superman: The High-Flying History of America's Most Enduring Hero."

The book touches not only on how Superman has changed through the years, but also about the creators, owners and people who portrayed the Man of Steel. The reading is at 7 p.m. on June 18.
