Newton's Megan Savage Takes Home a Tony

The Harvard graduate produced the Best Play winner in her professional debut.

What a Broadway debut for Newton’s Megan Savage!

In her first professional show, she co-produced the 2013 Tony Award winner for Best Play, Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike. The award was presented June 9 in a ceremony hosted by Neil Patrick Harris.

The play features Sigourney Weaver, David Hyde Pierce and Kristine Nielsen, and is a “comedic riff on some of Anton Chekov’s most time tested themes,” according to the Tony Awards Website.
