Marlins Top White Sox On Perfect Spring Day

During the spring little league season we are posting articles written by young Newton sports writers. This story was written by Emma Ball.

It was a perfect day to play baseball. The weather at the Peirce field wasn't too hot and it was not too cold. Greg was the starting pitcher for the Marlins. He struck out Joey Potter and Dylan Newman of the White Sox but he walked two other players. The White Sox ended up scoring one run in the first half inning.

In the bottom of the first, Greg scored on a RBI (run batted in) by Andrew. Simon and Jake both struck out. At the end of the first, the score was 1-1

In the fourth inning, two players on the White Sox scored. They were Charlie Potter and Tommy Hong. In the bottom of the fourth, the Marlins’ Simon Ball and Sidney both scored after walking to first base.
