Weather Cools Marlins Against North Tigers

During the spring little league season we are posting articles written by young Newton sports writers. This story was written by Emma Ball.

Although the Marlins played hard against the North Tigers, they fell a little short. It was a cold and very windy day at the Ward baseball fields in Newton on Sunday May fifth.

Marlins pitcher Sam Langer started out in the 1st inning by striking out Tigers third baseman Jack. Matthew then came up to bat and hit a double. Jackson then got hit by a pitch and took his base. Danny then hit a triple sending both Matthew and Jackson home, Danny was about to run home but Marlins third baseman Simon Ball threw home getting Danny out. The inning was over with a 2-0 Tiger lead.
