What is the cost of the annual Open House at City Hall? I'd like to know the dollar amount for this needless extravagance, while the mayor proposes over-riding the wisely crafted Proposition 2.5 Cut out the needless extravagances in Newton's budget. Including, and especially, the vastly inflated salaries of the highest paid people on Newton's payroll. Don't raise our taxes beyond the already obscenely exorbitant levels we have in Newton. But of course, Newton's wise leaders, those very same people of inflated salaries, expect each and every one of US to tighten our belts so they can go on hosting bogus self-promotion events. But suggest that we tighten THEIR belts by reducing their inflated salaries???? BLOODY MURDER, they cry!
