Cook, which opened at 825 Washington St. in Newton in mid-September, features an eclectic menu, with everything from bacon caramel popcorn to a Faroe Island salmon dish, with quinoa, roasted apple, spinach and a mustard glaze.

Turano told “Chronicle” he wants Cook to be a “neighborhood restaurant” with an “approachable menu.”
