Newton-Needham Chamber Offering New Networking Program

The new "Buddy Group" looks to help those in career transition.

The Newton-Needham Chamber of Commerce is announcing today plans to launch a new networking program for business professionals who are in career transition or seeking new job opportunities.

The Newton-Needham Buddy Group will be run by Joe Sanroma, who has ten years of experience running a similar program at the . The group will meet weekly at the chamber’s office at 281 Needham Street in Newton. Participation is free and membership in the chamber is not required. However, seating is limited and advance registration is required.

“We’re really excited to be working with Joe on this program because we see job growth and nurturing careers as part of our overall mission,” said Newton-Needham Chamber of Commerce President Greg Reibman. “The Buddy Group concept is all about helping individuals set agendas, swap resumes, practice elevator speeches and trade contacts.” 

Sanroma said he was pleased that the chamber sees value in the Buddy Group approach.
