The Newton-Needham Chamber of Commerce is the first Massachusetts business organization to partner with Google for its Street View Indoors program.
With the new initiative, Google will bring users inside businesses while they are in the Street View program.
“We see Street View Indoors as yet another way to promote shopping locally, dining locally and banking locally” said Chamber President Greg Reibman. “We’re pleased to be the first chamber in the state that is partnering with Google on this opportunity to let consumers look inside our many fantastic businesses.”
According to a statement from the Newton-Needham Chamber, with the Street View Indoors program “visitors can travel 360 degrees from multiple points inside your place of business and zoom in on your products, your displays, your signs, your decor and ambiance.”
The virtual tour is embeddable on business webpages and accessible from several devices.
Current chamber members are eligible for 10 percent off the Street View Indoors fees; while new members who sign up are eligible for 15 percent off.
