Newtonville Books to Close Walnut Street Store This Weekend

The book shop will be relocating to Newton Centre.

After this weekend, the familiar book shop on the corner of Walnut Street and Newtonville Avenue will be packing up and moving out.

will close its Walnut Street shop in Newtonville after business ends Saturday, March 24.

According to their website, Newtonville Books will use the last week in March to relocate to their new location in Newton Centre.

After 13 years in the Newtonville village center, Newtonville Books . Owner Mary Cotton noted at the time that the new location will give the independent book store better T accessibility. 

The new location at 10 Langley Road will not offer a used books section. Currently, the shop is holding a used book sale where all used books are $1.

The book shop's new location will officially open April 1. A grand opening ceremony will be held Thurs., April 5 at 7 p.m.
