The owner and chef of one of Newton's favorite French restaurants appeared on CBS's morning news show.
Michael Leviton, the man behind Lumiere in West Newton, appeared on CBS This Morning: Saturday.
He showed the hosts how to make roast duck, caramelized apple-cranberry crostata and maple sugar ice cream, according to the report on the CBS News website.
Leviton, who also is chef and owner of Area Four in Cambridge, talked about getting started cooking in his dorm room and the problems with how American's eat today.
