Ten Tables Owners Looking to Open a Newton Centre Restaurant
A letter posted from the Ten Tables owner indicates that the Newton Centre restaurant would be similar to the Ten Tables in Cambridge.
Owners of a popular Boston bistro could be making their way to Newton Centre, setting up shop in the space formerly occupied by John Dewar & Co.
According to a letter posted by @BeantownDrinks on Twitter, Ten Tables Chef-Owner David Punch announced that he and business partner Shane Smyth are looking to open a new restaurant at 755 Beacon St.
As mentioned in the Boston Restaurant Talk blog, Ten Tables currently has locations in , Cambridge and Provincetown.

The potential Newton location, the letter says, would be similar to the Ten Tables spot in Cambridge.
Punch will be before the Board of Aldermen's Land Use Committee on June 12 to apply for a waiver that would allow the restaurant space waive the 11 required parking spots needed for the 48-seat eatery.

However, in the letter Punch posted, the owners intend for the eatery to be open for dinner from 5:30 p.m. to midnight.
A community meeting will be held at the Beacon Street location on Thurs., June 7 from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. to discuss the potential restaurant.
The space at 755 Beacon St. was vacated in January 2012 when John Dewar & Co., a popular fine food and butcher shop, .
