Who Is the Best Bartender in Newton?
Bartenders from six Newton restaurants will compete at the event that benefits the Newton-Needham Chamber's scholarship fund.
Bartenders from several of Newton's finest restaurants will compete to see who can mix up the best cocktail.
The Best Bartender in Newton Contest will be hosted by Mr. Sid in Newton Centre and the Newton-Needham Chamber of Commerce on Oct. 16.
“Newton is home to so many fine restaurants – and amazing bartenders – that it’s no longer necessary to go to downtown for a fantastic night out,” said Greg Reibman, president of the Newton-Needham Chamber. “The Chamber is thrilled to partner with our friends at Mr. Sid on this event because it fits nicely into our campaign promoting shopping locally, dining locally and, yes, drinking locally.”

The contest will be at Mr. Sid, 1211 Centre St. in Newton, from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Oct. 16. DJ John Dudley will MC the event, and hors d'oeuvres will be provided by Chef Dave.
Tickets to the event are available at participating restaurants and cost $10. Proceeds benefit the Newton-Needham Chamber of Commerce Scholarship Fund.
