YoFresh Yogurt Cafe Officially Announces New Newtonville Location

More details on the self-serve yogurt shop at 14 Austin St.

YoFresh Yogurt Cafe officially announced in a statement today plans to open its first Massachusetts location at 14 Austin St. in Newtonville. 

According to a statement issued Friday morning, the YoFresh shop will take up the 951 square feet formerly occupied by Twig florist. It will also bring the building at 10-20 Austin St. up to 100 percent occupancy.

Chris Gregorys, who runs the franchising for YoFresh, that the Newtonville spot is likely to open up sometime in the late summer or early fall. Gregorys could not give an exact opening date.

The Boston-based YoFresh Yogurt Cafe offers "all-natural, healthy yogurts" with a variety of toppings customers can add to the yogurt.

YoFresh has locations in nine states, including a cart in Faneuil Hall Marketplace in downtown Boston.

This is the second self-serve frozen yogurt spot to open up in Newton in the last year;  in Newton Centre .

Soon, Sweet Tart and YoFresh will be joined by one of the pioneers of the frozen yogurt trend --Pinkberry. W.S. Development announced last month that Pinkberry .

YoFresh Yogurt Café has leased the last available retail space at 14 Austin Street in Newtonville (MA), bringing the 10-20 Austin Street property  to 100% occupancy. The shop, expected to open in late summer/early fall, will occupy 951 square feet. 

The announcement was made by exclusive Broker Richard McKinnon, Director of Brokerage Services for The Grossman Companies, Inc., of Quincy, who represented the Landlord, Austin Street Realty Trust. Representing the Tenant, Franchisee Frank Amato, was Lynn Cohen of KeyPoint Partners.

Based in Boston, YoFresh  Yogurt Café ( www.yofreshyogurtcafe.com) offers a large assortment of all natural, healthy yogurts through franchised shops and kiosks in 9 states. Newtonville is the first store location in Massachusetts. There is a seasonal cart at historic Faneuil Hall.

Located opposite a public parking lot, the building is attractive to retail tenants  due to high visibility and heavy vehicle and pedestrian traffic. Co-tenants include Starbucks, The Lobster Wok restaurant,  The Golden Scissors and Village Cleaners.
