Five Things You Need to Know Today: Feb. 10

Many concerts and events have been canceled but the JCC is open and hosting a family wellness expo.

1. Family Wellness Expo. The Leventhal-Sidman Jewish Community Center will host a family wellness expo today from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. The expo will include healthy food cooking demonstrations, MYCHIP child identification kits, composting tips, free chair massages and healthy snacks. Olympic swimmer Lenny Krayzelburg will also sign autographs and speak about the benefits of learning to swim at a young age. The event is free and open to the public. Call 617-558-6459 for more information.

2. Snow emergency lifted. In case you missed it, the snow emergency was lifted in Newton last night. This means you can once again park on streets and in municipal lots.

3. Add your snow photos! Do you have photos from the blizzard? Share them with Patch and your neighbors by adding them to our Newton blizzard photo gallery. (Please & thank you!)
