Five Things You Need to Know Today: Feb. 16

A movie screening, an art reception and yes, more snow.

1. The Odd Life of Timothy Green. The Newton Free Library will host a screening of the movie The Odd Life of Timothy Green today in the library's Druker Auditorium. The movie starts at 2 p.m. and is open to all ages.

2. Art reception. The New Art Center and Scandinavian Cultural Center will hold a reception tonight for the latest student art exhibition at the Scandinavian Cultural Center in West Newton. The reception is free and open to the public. The open house runs 5 p.m. - 7 p.m. and the exhibit will run now through March 31.

3. Got Talent? Enter the Newton Has Talent! event sponsored by the Rotary Club of Newton.

4. That's right, more snow. The National Weather Service is forecasting 2-5 (total) inches for the Newton area tomorrow night. The snow will likely start in the evening (1-2 inches) and carry on through the nigh (1-3 inches by Sunday morning), the NWS said. A hazardous weather outlook is in effect, so stay safe on the roads!
