Write in the comments section if your power has been restored recently or if you are still without power.

What do you get when you mix high winds and wet snow? Power outages.

As the blizzard continues to bear down on Newton, we here at Patch want to keep residents and neighbors informed about power outages in the city.

By 11 p.m. Friday, NSTAR reported 175 Newton customers were without power, out of a total 40,046 in the city. According to the NSTAR power outage map, that's less than 0.5 percent of the total power customers in Newton.
