Got Power? Let Us Know

Write in the comments section if your power has been restored recently or if you are still without power.

What do you get when you mix high winds and wet snow? Power outages.

As the blizzard continues to bear down on Newton, we here at Patch want to keep residents and neighbors informed about power outages in the city.

By 11 p.m. Friday, NSTAR reported 175 Newton customers were without power, out of a total 40,046 in the city. According to the NSTAR power outage map, that's less than 0.5 percent of the total power customers in Newton.

Although just a small number of Newton residents lost power last night, the storm is not over yet. A blizzard warning is still in effect in the area until 1 p.m. Saturday, with the National Weather Service forecasting 18-24 inches of snow and wind gusts up to 80 mph.

So, let us know. Has your power been restored recently? Are you still without power? Let us know and tell us where you are located in the comments section below.

On the 'Tri-City' border (Newton, Waltham, Watertown) never lost power. Hope everyone else, especially those whom have lost it, are keeping safe and warm!
