What is happening on the Austin Street parking lot?
The Board of Aldermen and the Mayor have decided to sell or lease the lot to a developer for a mixed-use project. Six applicants have submitted proposals for the site in response to the Request for Proposals (RFP) earlier this year. Before the Mayor chooses a developer, there will be an public forum with the developers on October 30th at the Newton North High School Cafeteria. I hope I will see you there. As Ward Alderman, I have the skills and technical expertise to make sure the project is designed properly.
