Auditions: New Philharmonia Orchestra

Play with the New Phil! This season, New Phil is holding auditions for the following instruments:



French Horn

Trombone

Percussion

All Strings



Audition requirements include two solo movements of the applicant's
choice, one slow and one fast, as well as a variety of orchestral
sight-reading at the discretion of the conductor. There is no advance
list of required excerpts.

Some basic information about the New Phil:

The New Phil is a non-professional community orchestra based in Newton
Centre. Rehearsals are generally held weekly between mid-September and
mid-May, on Sunday evenings, 7 -- 10 p.m. There are occasional Monday
and other mid-week rehearsals. Rehearsals are held primarily in Newton.
