Best of Newton Juried Art Fest!

Kick off the holiday season at Newton Open Studios’ annual juried fine art and craft show and sale. In response to visitor and artist feedback, you’ll find a larger and a more spacious show this year. A total of 77 local juror-selected artists are exhibiting work – over twice the number we’ve hosted in previous years.

Our 2012 juror, Paula Tognarelli, director of the Griffin Museum of Photography, has created a show full of whimsy and power: extraordinary landscapes, still lifes, abstracts
and jewelry, large-scale ceramics, fabulous textiles and more. Proof again that Newton hosts an accomplished community of strong and thought-provoking artists.

This show’s relaxed, festive format is a great place to catch up with artists you’ve met at previous shows, and to discover new talent. Come to the Newton Cultural Center, 225 Nevada Street on November 3 and 4 from 11 am to 5 pm. On the website you’ll find listings of all 77 artists, as well as artwork, directions and more: Newtonopenstudios.org.
