Boston Cello Quartet in Recital
Join us for a special concert with the Boston Cello Quartet--where classical, jazz, and contemporary music unites! Did you know that the quartet has opened for the band Train and had recorded the music for the video game "Of Orcs and Men"? The Boston Cello Quartet was founded in January 2010 by four cellists of the Boston Symphony Orchestra: Blaise Dejardin, Adam Esbensen, Mihail Jojatu and Alexandre Lecarme. With the wish to explore the limitless possibilities of the instrument they love, the cello, they perform a wide repertoire ranging from classical music to jazz, tango, contemporary works and even comic medleys. The group has enjoyed considerable success and their debut concert at Tanglewood in July 2010 was described by The Berkshire Eagle as "The best Prelude Concert at Ozawa Hall since the hall was built" (in 1994).
Tickets ar $30 General Admission, $20 Seniors. Students 9-18 years old are admitted free.
