NPR's DAN ZEVIN TO SPEAK AT THE JCC

National Public Radio comic correspondent Dan Zevin will discuss his latest book, Dan Gets a Minivan: Life at the Intersection of Dude and Dad, at the Leventhal-Sidman Jewish Community Center (333 Nahanton Street) in Newton on Thursday, January 17, 2013.

Zevin’s book takes readers through his own humorous coming-of-age as a parent and adult.  Rabbi Joseph Meszler, whose book (A Man’s Responsibility: A Jewish Guide to Being a Son, a Partner in Marriage, a Father and a Community Leader) is a provocative look at men’s spiritual growth, will add to the discussion. A craft beer tasting, sponsored by Homebrew Emporium of Cambridge, will follow.

The event takes place at 7:30pm and is open to the community. The program is part of the Ryna Greenbaum JCC Boston Jewish Book Fair and is co-sponsored by JCC Early Learning Centers. Cost is $8. Purchase tickets at www.bostonjcc.org/bookfair or contact 617-965-5226 or boxoffice@jccgb.org.
