Award winning author of Rashi’s Daughter, Maggie Anton, will discuss her latest novel, Rav Hisda’s Daughter: A Novel of Love, the Talmud and Sorcery at the Leventhal-Sidman Jewish Community Center (333 Nahanton Street) in Newton on Thursday, December 6.

In Rav Hisda’s Daughter, Anton weaves a historical tale based on actual Talmud texts of rabbis and their families, all from a woman’s perspective.  Author Tova Mirvis will lead the discussion.

The event takes place at 7:30pm and is open to the community. The program is part of the Ryna Greenbaum JCC Boston Jewish Book Fair. Cost is $8. Purchase tickets at www.bostonjcc.org/bookfair or contact 617-965-5226 or boxoffice@jccgb.org
