Screening of Disabilities Film Mabul
The Boston Jewish Film Festival REELAbilitiesBOSTON presents Mabul (Flood) on Monday, February 4 at 6:30pm at the Leventhal-Sidman Jewish Community Center (333 Nahanton Street) in Newton.
Mabul (2011, Hebrew with English subtitles) is the story of Yoni whose autistic older brother Tomer returns home as Yoni prepares for his Bar Mitzvah. Tomer’s return forces the already unhappy family to turn their attention to Tomer’s challenging presence. Ultimately, it is Tomer who is the most centered one, bringing his wildly dysfunctional family together in this acclaimed Israeli feature nominated for six Israeli Oscars. The film is directed by Guy Nattiv.
