Sewing Camp

February Vacation Camp

February vacation camp runs the 16th through the 24th!  Who wants to be stuck in the house when they could be creating and socializing.  Adults are welcome too!

Here's some examples of what you might expect in a typical day of camp.

Beginners: You will learn how to use a sewing machine by sewing projects that include straight lines and curves, zippers and ruffles, buttons and buttonholes, drawstrings and handles, linings and facings, seam allowances and cutting.  Understand differences in fabrics and why we use them when we do.

Non-Beginners: Working from your own measurements use computer assisted pattern drafting to create clothing patterns that fit and look exactly the way you like.  Learn how to create your own custom stuffed toys by making your own patterns. Advanced pillow making ideas that will set your designs apart from the crowd.  Learn how using multiple sewing techniques together give projects a professional look.  Spend time in our Industrial lounge learning how factory machines sew or learn how to create your own embroidery to create truly personalized projects.
