Textile Arts: Village Quilts Workshop

The house is an enduring and flexible visual motif that has entranced quilters for centuries. Working both collage style and with more traditional piecing, we will discover just how approachable textiles are for creating a scene. Layering, appliche, color and print scale, machine and hand-quilting, and various binding methods will be covered. We will work small so that in two classes significant progress will be made. Students will have the option of hand-assembling their quilts, or using a machine. Bring your sewing machines if desired.
