For
kids who love to explore and invent, Empow encourages creative thinking through
age-appropriate projects designed to maximize the fun, with group games
throughout the day to complement individual exploration. The Empow program offers a unique combination of
imaginative play and sophisticated technology made accessible to children.
Working with expert Adventure Guides/Counselors, each camper selects a theme to
explore—Architect, Fashion Designer, Team F1, Rescue, Olympics, Medieval,
Gamemaker Guru, Animation Alive, Music Mogul, Expedition to Egypt, or Mission
to Mars—and develops a story about their adventure. Held February 17-21 from
9am-5pm. Empow is located at the Leventhal-Sidman JCC (333 Nahanton
Street) in Newton. Geared for boys and girls entering grades 2-8 (8-14
years). Week-long programs also
available in April and August. Register online at bostonjcc.org/empow. For
more information, contact 617-558-6529 or empow@jccgb.org
