Children in
grades K-6 can develop dribbling, passing, shooting and defensive skills while
building self-confidence at a week-long basketball camp at the Leventhal-Sidman
Jewish Community Center (333 Nahanton Street) in Newton. Led by youth
recreation specialist and basketball coach Peter Sylvester, the camp is offered
June 23-27 from 9am-4pm. Schedule includes drills in the morning and games
and outdoor free swim in the afternoon. Cost for the week is $390 for
registrations received by May 1; $450 thereafter. The camp will also be held
July 7-11 and August 11-15. Half-day (9am-12pm), early drop-off and extended
