Learn to create in Silver Clay
Have you ever wanted to make silver jewelry? This 6-hour class will introduce you to silver metal clay, a malleable clay-like silver material that can be textured, stamped or molded and then fired in a kiln to create pure silver jewelry.
Students will learn the history and working characteristics of metal clay, proper handling, tools needed, and construction, as well as firing, finishing and patination techniques.
In addition, students will create unique, one of a kind, plaques for the ever-popular ribbon wrap bracelets. With silver clay, you will create one or two plaques, and then color or patina it for a unique and creative focal piece.
