Paddy's Road Race 3M, 1K, Youth Races

Paddy’s Road Race, The Shillelagh Shuffle, will take place on Sunday October 20th.   Come join over 2,000 participants in the New England Runner Pub Series grand finale.  This 3 mile road race has all the touches of Ireland including bagpipes, Irish step dancers and shillelaghs.

In addition to the 3M race, Paddy’s offers a 1K Youth and All Abilities Race.  This race caters to youth ages 14 & under and athletes with disabilities of all ages.  Race day also includes free youth field races for children ages 1-12 and a kid’s festival at West Newton Playground.

This West Newton tradition supports the Athletes Unlimited program, one of the largest community-based therapeutic recreation programs for people with disabilities in all of New England.  Many athletes from their track team participate in this road race making the Shillelagh Shuffle truly an inclusive and unique event.

The youth races and children’s festival kicks off at 9:00am, the 1K is at 10:30am and the 3M race starts at 11:30am.  The post race party includes food, beverages, music, photo booth, raffle and awards.
