Preparing For Your Newborn

Expectant
parents will learn basic information about taking care of their newborn in this
early parenting workshop being held at the Jefferson Cutter House Gallery (611
Massachusetts Avenue) in Arlington on Wednesday, July 30 from 7-9:30pm. Topics
that this workshop will cover are: basic infant care including swaddling,
bathing, diapering, feeding; soothing and settling techniques; proper use of
infant car seat, car seat safety; finding support in your community; and navigating
visitors and family members. Class will be taught by Liz Marino, Child Care
Coordinator and Parenting Educator at Boston Medical Center and Program
Director of Evelyn's House, a residential program for new teen mothers. Cost is $35/person or $60/couple. To
