Shlomo Carlebach's successor in Newton for a "Learning with Music": "The Hidden Lights of Chanukah"
The Hidden Lights of Hanukkah
On Sunday evening, November 24th, the Adams Street Shul presents an inspirational pre-Chanukah educational event, featuring the songs and stories of Rabbi Sammy Intrator. His presentation is entitled The Hidden Lights of Hanukkah. "Reb Sammy" touches people of all faiths and from all
backgrounds. In his words, "Judaism today needs to get down to
its roots and not be
divided by its branches."
Since 2000, "Reb Sammy" has designed and taught inspirational
spiritual programs that combine Kabbalistic, Talmudic and Hasidic
teachings, as well
as ethical and psychological insights, to provide meaning that is
not available to most Jews today.
Get ready to elevate your celebration of Chanukah with "Reb Sammy." The Hidden Lights of Hanukkah will be a
learning with
music. His presentation at the Adams Street Shul begins at 7:30
PM; maariv will be about 9:30 PM; and congregants are
welcome to
remain after that for informal activities.
