Welcome Revolution Forward Charlie Davies to Boston on Wednesday at Papa Gino's

The New England Revolution will host a special “Welcome Charlie to Boston” event at the iconic pizza shop, Papa Gino’s, in Brighton on Wednesday, September 11. Fans will have the chance to meet Revolution forward and former U.S. National Team and Boston College product Charlie Davies in a casual setting.

Fans are encouraged to come grab a slice or discounted $6 large cheese pizza and welcome one of the newest Revs back to the area.

Davies recently joined his hometown team in early August after playing a year and a half in Europe.

He made career-high 13 appearances - scoring three goals - in 2009, including five appearances in final-round World Cup Qualifiers. Davies was one of only two players that year to appear in final-round qualifying, the Confederations Cup and the CONCACAF Golf Cup. A member of the 2008 U.S. Olympic Team in Beijing, Davies made five appearances in Olympic qualifying and the Olympic Games.

The event is open to the general public, for fans of all ages. Fans in attendance will be eligible for giveaways and have the opportunity to win tickets to upcoming Revolution home games.
