An open house for a local art program, American Legion baseball and a health maintenance clinic.

1. Post 440 baseball. The Newton American Legion Post 440 baseball team will face Ashland today in a home match at Albemarle Field. The game is set to start at 6 p.m.

2. Art program open house. The will hold an open house today for its summer art program. The open house will feature a tour of the center, an art project station and light refreshments. The event will run from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.

3. Health maintenance clinic. The holds health maintenance clinics on Fridays from 9 a.m. to noon. Seniors can speak with a nurse, get their blood pressure checked and ask questions about medications.
