Five Things You Need to Know Today: Sept. 3
City hall buildings, post offices and schools will be closed today for the Labor Day holiday.
1. Labor Day. All city offices and schools are closed today as well as the library and post offices. Most retail stores, supermarkets and restaurants are open.
2. Trash/recycling delayed this week. Due to the Labor Day holiday today, trash and recycling pick-up will be delayed by one day this week.
3. Terry O'Reilly's is open! The new Newton Centre pub, located at 45 Union St., . The renovated pub opened Saturday, Sept. 1. Stay tuned to Newton Patch for a full feature on the new restaurant.
