During the meeting, the committee will hold a public hearing on the site plans for expansion at . The committee is also scheduled to continue discussion of the city's water billing practices and . 

2. Help needed for Newton Centre skating rink. An ice rink is coming to Newton Centre! Keep an eye out today, as you may see parts of it start to set up. Volunteers are needed today to help lay the framework and lining for the rink, which will be located on the Newton Centre Green. Set-up will start today at 8:30 a.m. if you're interested. The rink is scheduled to open on Dec. 31.

3. Patch's Deck the House Contest. Do you want to win $100,000 for the Newton Public Schools? Get ready to enter the Patch Deck the House Contest. To enter, just decorate your house for the holidays, submit a photo and get your friends and family to vote for you on Newton Patch. If you're one of 24 Patch-wide finalists, you'll receive $500 to go toward your home's December electric bill. If you win the grand prize, the Newton schools will receive $100,000! Local residents, teachers and former students are welcome reminisce with photographs that capture every angle of the old school. The exhibit runs until Dec. 14.
