Five Things You Need to Know Today: Feb. 15

Community meeting with the mayor, Zoning and Planning Committee meets and a financial literacy lecture at the library.

1. Community meeting with the mayor. Mayor Setti Warren will join City Hall administrators and Superintendent David Fleishman tonight for Residents are encouraged to attend the meeting to share their ideas and recommendations for the city's infrastructure and financial needs. The meeting will be held at 7 p.m. at . 

2. Last day to register to vote before primary! Today is the last day to register to vote in the March 8 presidential primary. If you are not already registered, the Election Commission at  is open tonight until 8:00 p.m.

3. Financial Literacy at the Library. The will host another lecture in its Financial Literacy at the Library Series. Investing 101 will include information on the pros & cons of investing and evaluating the risks and returns of certain types of investments. The free program will begin at 7 p.m.

4. Zoning and Planning. The Zoning and Planning Committee will meet tonight at 7:45 p.m. in room 209 at . The committee is scheduled to discuss the re-zoning of the Riverside MBTA Station to make way for a possible mixed-use development. 

5. Go Tigers! The boys' varsity hockey team will face Needham High School tonight in a home match at 7 p.m. The game will take place at the 's Coffin Rink in West Newton.
