Eat fresh, eat local! Newton Community Farm now enrolling for 2014 CSA program

Newton Community Farm, 303 Nahanton St., is accepting applications from Newton residents for shares in our 2014 CSA (community-supported agriculture) program.  Sharers will be selected via random lottery.  Applications are due at the farm by 5 pm on February 23rd.

In 2014, sharers will receive fresh, locally grown vegetables from June through October. The cost is $600 for a weekly share and $325 for an alternate-week share. Work commitment (by Oct 31) is 12 hours for a weekly share and six hours for an alternate week share, or $10/hour as an alternative. Applicants must also be a 2014 Friend of the Farm to be considered in the process ($35 for individual, $60 for family).

Go to www.newtoncommunityfarm.org for more information about the program and process and to download forms.
