Doris Walsh, 88, Lifelong Newton Resident

Doris J. Walsh of Newton died on Sept. 5 at the age of 88.

She was predeceased by her Husband Bernard J. Walsh, her sisters Claire Eddy and Ruth Boucher, and brother-in-law Thomas Boucher. She was the mother of Terrance Walsh, S.J., Patricia Coates and her husband Paul of Glendale, Judith LeGraw and her husband Steve of East Greenwich, R.I.; grandmother of Emily, Kimberly and Allison Coates and Ryan, Luke and Greta LeGraw, according to an obituary on the Magni Funeral Home website.

She was an active and devout member of Our Lady Help of Christians Church in Newton. 

Visiting hours will be at the Andrew J. Magni & Son Funeral Home, 365 Watertown St. in Newton, on Sunday, Sept. 8 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. and again on Monday, Sept. 9 at 11 a.m., before proceeding to Our Lady Help of Christians Church, 573 Washington St. in Newton, for a Funeral Mass at noon. Burial will be at the Calvary Cemetery in Waltham.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Doris’ name may be made to: The Campion Health Center, 319 Concord Rd, Weston, MA 02493.
