Erica Cole Kaitz, 52, Formerly of Newton, Dedicated to Pan-Mass Challenge

Erica Cole (Goldstein) Kaitz of Boston and formerly of Newton Centre died on Dec. 7 at the age of 52.

She was a dedicated Pan-Massachusetts Challenge rider, employee and volunteer for many years, according to an obituary on the Levine Chapels website.

She was the wife of Richard J. Kaitz; mother of Alyssa and Nicole; daughter of Bernard Goldstein and the late Patricia and George Botvin; sister of Jeffrey and his wife Ginnie Goldstein; sister-in-law of Nita Reguer, Brenda Kaitz, Nathan and Sally Kaitz; aunt of Shayna, Robby, Yonatan, Mikki, Robert, and Josh.

Services were held at Temple Emanuel in Newton on Dec. 9. Interment at Sharon Memorial Park in Sharon.

Family and friends are welcome to the family home for the Shiva mourning week following the interment through 8 p.m. and continuing Tuesday through Thursday at noon, Friday 12-3 p.m., Saturday at 6 p.m., Sunday 9 a.m.-noon.
