Gloria Ann (Beckert) Denn, 87, Lifelong Newton Resident

Gloria Ann (Beckert) Denn, 87, of Newtonville, passed away on Jan. 2, 2013. 

Denn was a lifelong Newton resident, according to her obituary, and the mother of Thomas and his wife Alice of Newtonville as well as Robert and his wife Rosemarie of Chatham. She leaves behind grandchildren Alison, Emily, Marisa, and Robert Jr., her sister Muriel and husband Donald Merchant of Framingham, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Denn loved to spend time with her grandchildren and cook Thanksgiving dinner. According to her obituary, she "was known for her amiable demeanor, dazzling smile, and playful manner."

Visiting hours will be held at the Andrew J. Magni & Son Funeral Home on Sunday, Jan. 6 from 3 p.m. - 7 p.m. The funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 7 at Our Lady Help of Christians Church. Burial will be held at St. Mary's Cemetery in Needham.
