Lynne Baldi, 78, Lifelong Newton Resident, Owner of Busy Bee’s

Gwedolynne "Lynne" Baldi died on July 9 at the age of 78.

She is survived by her husband Mario, and children Mario Jr. of Newton, Donna Siciliano and her husband Edward of Waltham, Deborah Folger of Westford, Pamela Beston and her husband Joseph of Waltham, Kimberly Kirubi and her husband Robert of Belgium and Sandra DiChiara and her husband Robert of New York. She was mother of the late Nicholas Alan Baldi and sister of the late Marjorie Tyson, Samuel and William “Willy” Caruso, according to an obituary on the Brasco Funeral Home website.

Baldi owned the Busy Bee’s Party Supplies in West Newton for 17 years and was once named “Mrs. West Newton.” She also received the Good Neighbor Award, a Service Helping Award, and worked with the Massachusetts Easter Seal Society, according to the obituary.

Relatives and friends can attend funeral services from the Brasco & Sons Memorial Chapels, 773 Moody St. in Waltham on Tuesday, July 16 at 8 a.m. with a Mass of Christian Burial at Saint Bernard’s Church, 1523 Washington St. in West Newton at 9 a.m. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Waltham. Visiting Hours at the Funeral Home will be held on Monday, July 15 from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Donations may be made in her memory to the Alzheimer’s Assoc., 480 Pleasant St., Watertown, MA 02472.
