Philip "Phil" Lerer of Newton died on Jan. 4 at the age of 93.
He was a loyal and dedicated member of the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center family. He was passionate about giving back to the community and was committed to the "Mitzvah of Bikur Cholim" - the healing of the sick, according to an obituary on the Levine Chapels website.
Graveside services were held at Montefiore Cemetery in Pelham, N.H.
